Post Office/General Store/Museum

This building probably began as a carriage house when it was built in 1896. It matched the construction of the main house. In 1919, the building was remodeled so it could be used as a post office/general store. They were trying to make a small commercial center here. In the late 1930’s the building became a garage, this time as a commercial enterprise after the post office left Springstead and was moved to Park Falls.
